You must have envied those sucessful students who get top ranks in national level exams like IIT JEE and AIPMT or are selected in Olympiads or KVPY. They are the ones who start heading towards their goals early in life.Successful students in all these exams are not very different , only thing is that they understood the importance of starting early. In metro cities, students of class VI starts thinking about these exams. We take the responsibility of ensuring the same culture in JABALPUR(M.P.) also. We are determined to produce toppers from this city. But all this will remain a distant dream unless you all decide to kick start your preparation now.
Program Focus & Objectives
The goal of the program will be to help you score a good rank in IIT-JEE/MEDICAL EXAMS. The program will also help prepare you for Olympiads and KVPY.
Why start in Class IX / X th ?
IITs have restricted the no. of attempts for IIT-JEE. Students now just have two chances – one just after the XII board exams and the second immediately in the next year. They should try to succeed in IIT-JEE in the first attempt itself.
Best way is to start your JEE preparation from the beginning of class IX, but if you have not been able to do that it is prudent you start your preparation at the earliest. Three Year Classroom Program for IIT-JEE, for students who are presently in class X is the next best alternative.
Course Structure
The content in this course will be of level slightly higher than level of IX and X and will focus on the types of questions asked in competitive exams. We will try our level best to ensure a smooth transition for you from class X to XI.
You will find our course helpful when you take following competitive exams :
JUNIOR SCIENCE OLYMPIAD (for class X th and lower)
The International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) is a competitive examination open to students of all countries in the world, primarily studying in secondary schools. All basic subjects of Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics) are given roughly equal representation in the IJSO examination.
The Junior Science Olympiad program will follow the following 5 stages :
Stage I: National Standard Examination in Junior Science (NSEJS).
Stage II: Indian National Junior Science Olympiad (INJSO).
Stage III: Orientation cum Selection Camp (OCSC) in junior science.
Stage IV: Pre-departure Training Camp (PDT) for IJSO
Stage V: Participation in International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO).
NSEJS is the first stage of selection of students in the Junior Science Olympiad Programme. Every student aspiring to go through successive stages of the programme must enroll for NSEJS. NSEJS is held at a large number of centres in the country.
Last Date for enrollment is usually 15th Sept.
The syllabus for NSEJS will be broadly equivalent to the secondary school level (upto Class X) of CBSE. The different basic subjects of science (physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics) will have roughly equal emphasis.
This is only a broad guideline, and there is no detailed syllabus given for NSEJS.
NSEJS will emphasize comprehension of the subject, not rote memory.
After qualifying in first stage you become eligible for second stage.
KVPY
The KVPY or “Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana” is an ongoing program started by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to encourage students of Basic Sciences, Engineering and Medicine to take up research careers in these areas.
